Founded in 2011, Mittag Design began as a dorm-room side project with deep roots in the livestock industry. While studying at Northwest Missouri State, Tucker Mittag started experimenting with graphic design software to create custom ads and sale graphics for his family's operation, Mittag Show Cattle. What began as a personal passion quickly grew — and as other producers took notice, what started as side work soon evolved into a full-time business.

In 2013, Mittag Design expanded into photography and videography. With the purchase of our first camera — originally to shoot calves for our own sale — we quickly realized the demand for professional, livestock-savvy media. The very first animal photographed turned out to be a $42,000 high seller that later won AK-SAR-BEN. From there, we began working with a number of progressive young breeders, many of whom still trust us today to capture their livestock at home and at shows.

In 2020, Mittag Design Live was born. What started as an idea to bring stock shows to the screen during a time of uncertainty has now grown into one of the most reliable livestreaming services in the industry. From jackpot shows to major events, we provide broadcast-quality coverage designed by people who truly understand the livestock world — because we live it, too.

In 2021, we proudly celebrated our 10-year anniversary. By that point, owner Tucker Mittag had left his banking career to run the business full-time — a leap of faith that wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our customers, many of whom have been with us since the early days.
